Unisteer 1955-1957 Chevy Car Power Rack & Pinion Stock Column Steering Shaft Kit

This is a brand new Unisteer full set including the Tri-5 Power Rack & Pinion Kit and the Tri-5 Power steering shaft (Stock column). This kit consists of a uniquely customized Saginaw Power Rack & Pinion. This custom built rack is narrow enough to match the original steering. Geometrically this rack matches the stock steering so there is very little bump steer! The basic kit consists of the Rack & Pinion unit, Outer Tie Rod Ends, Brackets, Mounting Hardware, and new Steering Arms. Installation is as easy as possible. The Rack & Pinion is mounted to our bracket using the provided hardware and the unit mounts in the stock holes from the factory steering system.

The driver side bracket mounts to the same three bolt pattern as the factory steering box and the passenger side bracket mounts to the two bolt pattern for the idler-arm. These brackets then hold the rack and pinion in the same plane as center link from the stock steering. For clearance issues, if your Chevy has clearance for the factory center link then you should have clearance for Unisteer's Tri-5 rack. The Rack & Pinion rests in the same place as that factory center drag link with a slightly bigger diameter.

TURNS LOCK TO LOCK: 2.65. THREAD: 14mm x 1.5. This kit also includes a steering shaft kit designed to connect the Power Rack to a Stock steering column in 1955 1956 1957 Chevy Cars. This kit has two u-joints and the column bearing. This kit includes stainless shaft and stainless u-joints.
